Race Notes
Mike Woodring collects first Win in over 2 years in the Carfax 250 at Michigan International Speedway. "When you aren't out driving them, sometime you have to outsmart them." Woodring Said in Victory Lane. After a late caution, Woodring rolled the dice by staying out on old tires, and fumes with hopes the race ended under yellow. As luck would have it, Nascar gave the signal for a 1 lap shootout. Woodring would now have to hold off 4 of the fastest front runners on fresh rubber, and fuel. When the green flag dropped, Woodring got up on the wheel and drove like he got an inside tip that Culver's was running low on his favorite Famous Culver's Burgers. Woodring would become the 4th different winner in as many weeks as the Series heads North to the low flats of New Hampshire International. Randy Mahlum finished 2nd, while John Wykoff, and Greg Hayden were 3rd, and 4th after both cars dominated the event. Danny Coral completed the Top 5 at Michigan.
